Design Program

The Design Program is for young people 12 - 15 years old who are interested in a more intensive program in one aspect of the arts.  The Design Program concentrates on clothing and accessory design and construction.  Participants will:

* Learn the necessary skills related to clothing and accessory construction, including hand and machine sewing, draping, the creation and use of patterns, the properties and manipulation of fabric and other materials.
* Learn how to conceptualize and develop their design ideas.
* Learn to communicate their ideas both verbally and visually with an emphasis on illustration skills.

Unlike the regular CAI summer program, this is a 1/2 day program which will take place daily (M - F) from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  For those families that are interested in a full day program, their son or daughter can be enrolled in our Counselor-in-Training program for the morning hours for a modest additional fee.

Dates: Session I June 28 - July 16, 2010 (4 weeks) No Camp July 5
            Session II July 19 - August 20, 2010 (4 weeks)

Tuition: $760 Session l
                $800 Session ll
                Additional CIT option - $160
